Here I am with my Christmas cookies recipe. I can say, they are irresistible with its ginger and cinnamon smell from the very first beginning of the baking!
- 1 egg,
- 1 glass of sugar,
- 3 table spoon of butter,(125 gr.) – at room temperature
- 1 table spoon of milk,
- 2 glass of flour,
- 1 coffee spoon of ginger (powder) ,
- 1 coffee spoon of cinnamon,
- 1 lemon peel,
- 10gr. vanilla,
- 10gr. baking powder,
- Sprinkle of salt.
Take butter and sugar in a bowl and mix them well until it becomes like a cream. Add milk, cinnamon, ginger, lemon peel and egg, mix it with a spoon. Finally add flour, vanilla, baking powder, salt and begin to knead the mix until you get a soft dough. Put the dough in the fridge for 30 min.
Preheat the oven 175 degrees.
Take the dough and roll dough until 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters in various shapes. On ungreased cookie sheets, place cutouts 1 inch apart.
Bake 15 -20 minutes or just until edges are golden.
